Major Mitchell’s Cockatoo
In August we undertook a trip to Bowra Sanctuary, Hungerford, Bourke, Narrabri and Tamworth. Conditions were perfect at Bowra and the birdwatching fantastic. By the time we reached Hungerford, Currawinya NP was closed due to flooding and conditions at Narrabri were also wet. We managed to take lots of photos and video. Three new species were videod: Major Mitchell’s Cockatoo, Red-browed Pardalote and Collared Sparrowhawk. In addition better video was taken of 23 other species eg Southern Whiteface, White-breasted Woodswallow and Splendid Fairy-Wren. That makes 396 species videod!!
