After hearing a Little Grassbird on many occasions and very rarely seeing one, I had almost given up on taking video of this species. However, a member of our local birding group suggested a trip to Dangars lagoon where the water had receded and Little Grassbirds were leaving the shelter of the reeds to feed on the mud around them. On arrival the bird was easy to locate and good video and photos were taken.
After an hour or so at the lagoon a nice breakfast and coffee was had in Uralla. A very satisfactory morning.
